Sarasota WWTP Headworks Expansion

The improvements included the addition of two influent channels at the Headworks structure. One channel was designed to contain a new screen and the other to be simply a bypass channel. The elevated channels were located adjacent to the existing structure and founded on a helical pile supported mat foundation. New aluminum access stairs were designed along with some modifications to the existing Filter structure. This structure was modified to accommodate the Aqua Diamond filtration system with an average daily flow capacity of 24.0 MGD.
